CEREC:
Funding for the Civil Engineering Research and Education Center (CEREC), a new structural testing lab is currently underway.
Current Lab Testing:
Large scale composite beam experiments recently conducted at the SSRL investigated the effects of clustering and flange surface friction on resulting stud demands. An innovative pressure gauge measurement approach allowed concrete-to-stud force transfer quantification. Special thanks to AISC for funding this research.
